I started the week yesterday with 2 runs; 60 minutes and 45 minutes. I like to do doubles 3 times a week for marathon training. I'm busy and can't always get longer runs in. Doubles are good for anyone; pressed for time, injury prone, or just want to get a lot of volume without trashing their legs for speed days etc. If you decide on doubles, ease into it; your second run would start out very short, and you need 4 hours in between runs. Of course the long run of the week still needs to be long, as that's the most important training day for marathon preparation.
