Friday Workout: 3x400 My aim lately has been to increase my mileage, and as I adapt to the higher  volume, I have been doing one speed session a week. I'm adding in a second shorter speed session on Fridays. I'm easing in though with just 3x400, so my legs will be fresh for Saturday's long, hilly run. Speedwork teaches your body to run faster, innervate's your fast twitch muscle fibers, and improves your efficiency. It also makes race pace for the longer distances feel so much easier!
